Similan Islands National Park - What else can you say about the Similan Islands except "This is World Class Diving at its Very Best." There is no diving that compares in Thailand, it is the crown jewel of Thailand diving. The Similan Islands are considered one of the top diving destinations in the world. Blessed with pristine beaches, uninhabited islands, crystal clear waters, and bio-diversity that is unbelievable it is easy to see why so many love this magical place.
Richelieu Rock - Thailand's most famous dive site and one of the best places in the world to have an encounter with a Whale Shark. With annual Whale Shark migrations in Thailand, the best way to encounter one of the big boys is on a Similan Liveaboard cruise. Even if you don't encounter a Whale Shark on your dives at Richelieu the enormous variety of marine life will not leave you disappointed. Richelieu Rock is one of the finest dive sites any where on the planet.
Hin Daeng and Hin Muang - These two huge vertical pinnacles, south of Phuket Island, offer some of the best diving in all of Southeast Asia. Known as the best place in Thailand for Manta Ray encounters, Whale Sharks and a variety of other sharks also make frequent visits to these two sites. How to Dive Thailand
Because the best dive sites are a little bit more remote Phuket has become a hub for liveaboard trips to the Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock, and Hin Daeng / Hin Muang. There truly is a liveaboard for everyone from luxury divers to backpackers. Thailand Diving Season
Dive Thailand year round from beautiful Phuket Island. Local trips depart daily from Phuket. For the Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock, and Hin Daeng / Hin Muang the peak season is November to April. February to May is the best time for Whale Shark and Manta Encounters. Liveaboards run to the Similan Islands from mid October to mid May.
