With 8 beautifully decorated cabins in two configurations everyone is guaranteed a good nights sleep aboard the Ocean Dancer. All cabins are very well laid out, roomy and spacious, and have porthole windows for added natural light. .

Entertainment, Dining, and Common Areas
The Dancer is massive and with only 16 guests onboard it is always easy to find a place to be alone or spend some time with your fellow explorers. For relaxing between dives or in the evening the interior air-conditioned saloon is as charming and rustic as the guest cabins. Most everything in the saloon area is constructed of or finished in asian hard woods giving it a warm and classic feeling. There is a video and entertainment system for your use, and a library of marine and general interest books. On the upper deck there is great area for enjoying a morning sea breeze and a cup of coffee before diving, improving your tan lines, or enjoying the sunset with a cocktail or two.
After an early morning beverage is delivered to your cabin, breakfast is cooked to order and is always accompanied by fresh fruit and cereals. Lunch is buffet style and is always delicious with varied Asian and International cuisine. In between meals, high energy snacks are provided to maintain your power for diving. When the diving day is over it's time to sit down for dinner around the main deck dining table and enjoy a broad range of wonderful international dishes and a wonderful glass of wine. Beer and wine are all inclusive at dinner which usually creates a warm and friendly atmosphere in the evenings as you relax with your fellow divers beneath the stars and share your stories from the day of diving.

Your Own Private Dive Dhoni
Diving activities are conducted from a 16 meter (52 ft.) custom built dive dhoni which will accommodate 16 divers in comfort. The dive dhoni is accompanied by a captain and dive staff. The dive dhoni is a fully functioning diving vessel that will provide fast and safe transfers to all the dive sites.
The dive dhoni has been designed with comfort and convenience in mind. There is plenty of area for suiting up and loads of storage space for your personal equipment. Each diver will be assigned his or her own station and your gear will remain set up during the entire cruise. Tanks are filled at this station, so you never have to worry about moving your equipment except to get in the water, and the caring crew will help you with that. Personal gear is stored at your station, and wet suits are hung up to dry on a custom rack. Cameras are stored apart from your personal gear on a special camera table. There are two showers at the rear for a quick rinse after the dives.

Liveaboard Trip Prices Include: All prices are per person and include accommodation on board, all meals, most drinks (drinking water, coffee, tea, etc.), wine with dinner, professional dive master services, scuba tanks, weights, weight belt, air, up to 3 dives per day. We also include greeting and transfer to and from Male International Airport and the liveaboard.
Additional Charges: Equipment rental and nitrox are not included in the above prices and can be paid for upon arrival. Equipment rental is generally $35.00 - $40.00 U.S. per day for a full set of equipment, depending on availability. Each diver entering the water from will be required to have the following minimum surface safety equipment on each dive: • Diver Alert (Surface audible signaling device) • Safety Sausage (For the vessel to spot a diver in the distance.) • Mini Strobe (For the vessel to spot a diver in the distance in low light situations ie: night / dusk). A limited number will be available for rent on the Liveaboard, however, we recommend you purchase these items in advance at your local dive shop.
PADI diving courses, and alcoholic beverages will also be paid for on the boat. There are additional Male port charges of $65.00 U.S., a Maldives Bed Tax of $8.00 U.S. per night and a compulsory chamber support fee of $15.00 U.S.. All taxes and surcharges are payable at booking.
How to Get There: With so many international air carriers flying directly into Male, the capital city of the Maldives, there is no need to book your liveaboard trip as part of a package deal and pay hidden fees. The most cost effective way to dive the Maldives is to pick a liveaboard of interest and then book your flights directly to Male. You will be greeted in Male and transferred to your liveaboard. Its that easy!
There are direct flights from Europe, Asia, and the United States. If your flying from the U.S. the most direct route is via Singapore.

Ocean Dancer Maldives Itinerary
The itinerary of the Ocean Dancer is meant to deliver the best diving of the Maldives within the time allotted for the liveaboard cruise. Her schedule will consist primarily of 8 Day / 7 Night and 11 Day / 10 Night cruises to the best dive sites around the Ari, North Male, and South Male Atolls. All Ocean Dancer liveaboard cruises will depart from Hulhule harbor near the capital city of Male. There will also be one 13 Day / 12 Night cruise during the season.
Sample Itinerary
Day of Boarding (First Day on the Ocean Dancer)
Morning or afternoon flight to Male International Airport, pick up and transfer from the airport by speed boat or dive dhoni (depending on sea conditions the boat ride takes about 10 minutes). You should try to arrive as close to 12:00 noon as possible. If you have an earlier or later flight pick up is possible all day long on the day of arrival. Some guests will arrive the day before boarding and stay at a nearby hotel on Male or Hulhule.
Diving Days (Depending on the length of the Cruise)
- Up to 3 Dives per Day
- 1 Night Dive per Cruise
Day of Departure ( Last Day on the Ocean Dancer)
Morning breakfast and gear packing, then transfer by boat to the Male International Airport around 8:00 a.m. to connect with your departing flight.
